Hey everyone,
Just wondering if you have a signature move that you've made or come up with based on your experience?

How about new moves. I'm learning the ones on Home of Poi (www.homeofpoi.com) myself.

Hi Talon!

I'm pretty new to poi, but I've been practicing off of Home of Poi also (got my tailed poi and the COL2/lessons DVD there) and made it thru - FINALLY can thread the needle (that took forever) and the chase (took even longer) yay!
As for signture moves I only have a theory - I think it's all in the style executed... I've seen the same moves done but they way people do them makes all the difference. (I have seen some new tricks posted on home of poi, though.) This is just my beginners' opinion. biggrin

My signature move would be unintentionally smacking myself in the calf when doing the low weave....

hi im el im 16 from wales and i have been doing poi for quite a few years my signiture move is the mexican wave split timing with a double twist in front then second time around one poi comes forward then the other one a second later making a circle within the other circle best done with fire or glow poi its not as complicated as it sounds trust me the thing i love about poi is like with music say guitar players for instance you can have 10 guitar players playing the same tune and yet their styles are quite different i feel it is the same with poisters doing the same trick each one will always be individual hippy new year el

Hey there!

I agree that your style is more your signature than your move. I also think that it's not so much a signature move as it is your way of transitioning between moves, and how you move your body. Here's a URL to supplement your lessons from home of poi.

Here is a good place to go when you master the lessons on home of poi. It's a little more comprehensive, and he has poi and staff lessons
